When should I change the tires on my Kia Rio?

I've had my Kia Rio for about two years now and I'm not sure when I should be changing the tires. How often should I be changing them and how do I know when it's time?

It's recommended to change your tires every 5-6 years or every 50,000 miles, whichever comes first. However, it's important to regularly inspect your tires for any signs of wear and tear and have them changed if necessary.

When the tread depth on your tires reaches 4/32nds of an inch or less, it's time to change them. You can easily check this by using a penny and inserting it upside down into the grooves of your tire. If the tread covers the top of Lincoln's head, your tires are still good. If not, it's time for new ones.

As a general rule, it's best to change your tires every 6 years regardless of mileage. Rubber starts to degrade over time, even if the tires have not been driven much. So, if it's been 6 years since you last changed them, it's time to do so.
