Why does my Kia Niro have lower gas mileage than advertised?

I recently purchased a Kia Niro and noticed that its gas mileage is significantly lower than what was advertised. I am disappointed and unsure of what to do. Can you provide any insight on why this may be happening and what steps I can take to improve it?

Hi Samantha, it's possible that the advertised gas mileage is based on ideal driving conditions which may not always be achievable in real life. It could also be due to driving habits, such as excessive idling or speeding, that can greatly affect gas mileage. Another factor could be the type of fuel you are using. I recommend experimenting with different driving techniques and monitoring your gas mileage to see if there is any improvement.

Hi Samantha, in addition to the factors mentioned above, another possibility could be the condition of your Niro's tires. Worn or improperly inflated tires can greatly impact gas mileage. I suggest checking your tire pressure regularly and replacing your tires if needed. You may also want to consider investing in fuel-efficient tires for even better results.

Hi Samantha, one more thing to consider is the weight of your Niro. If you often have a lot of heavy items in your car, it can put a strain on the engine and decrease gas mileage. I recommend decluttering your car and only keeping necessary items in it. This can also have the added benefit of improving your car's overall performance.
