I just purchased a new Kia Sorento and I'm having trouble activating the Parking Assist System. Can someone please guide me through the steps?
ReplyFirst, make sure your vehicle is in park and the ignition is in the on position. Then, press the parking assist button located on the center console. A green indicator light should appear on your dashboard. Next, slowly drive forward or reverse until the system detects a parking spot and alerts you with a beeping sound.
To activate the Parking Assist System, start by pressing the 'Set' button on your steering wheel. This will activate the sensors and display the parking spot on your dashboard screen. From there, use your steering wheel to control the vehicle and navigate into the spot. Once parked, press the 'Cancel' button to deactivate the system.
The Parking Assist System can also be activated by using the reverse gear on your transmission. Simply put the vehicle in reverse and the system will automatically detect and alert you of any potential parking spots. Make sure to always check your surroundings and use the manual controls to safely park your vehicle.
