How do I change the brake pads on a Kia Sportage?

I have noticed that my brakes are starting to squeal and I believe it's time to change the brake pads on my Kia Sportage. Can anyone provide me with a step-by-step guide on how to change them?

Hey Maria, as a fellow Kia Sportage owner, I've changed my brake pads a few times and here's my advice. Make sure you have all the necessary tools and equipment before starting. Also, make sure you use a proper torque wrench to tighten the bolts to the correct specifications. It's important to do this task properly as it's a matter of safety. Best of luck!

Hi Maria, changing brake pads on a Kia Sportage is a relatively simple task. Here's a step-by-step guide that you can follow: 1) First, lift your vehicle with a jack to provide enough clearance for the work. 2) Remove the tire where you need to change the brake pad. 3) Once the tire is removed, look for the caliper and remove the bolts holding it to the bracket. 4) Gently pry the caliper assembly away from the rotor and remove the old brake pads. 5) Place the new pads in the same position as the old pads and secure the caliper back in place. 6) Repeat the process for each wheel and don't forget to bed in the new brake pads afterwards. I hope this helps!
