I have a Kia Ceed and I want to change the engine oil myself. Can you provide some guidance on how to do it?

Hi Sarah, changing the oil in your Kia Ceed is a relatively simple process. The first step is to locate the oil drain plug on the bottom of the engine. Once you find it, use a wrench to loosen and remove the plug. Make sure you have a drain pan ready to catch the old oil.

After draining the old oil, you'll need to remove the old oil filter. This can be done using an oil filter wrench. Be sure to dispose of the old filter properly. Next, fill the new oil filter with fresh oil and screw it in place.

Once the new filter is in place, it's time to add fresh oil to the engine. Refer to your car's manual for the specific type of oil and amount required. After adding the oil, start the engine and let it run for a few minutes. Then, check the oil level and add more if necessary.
