First, make sure the engine is cool before beginning the oil change process. Then locate the oil filter, which is typically located near the bottom of the engine. Use an oil filter wrench to remove the old filter and replace it with a new one. Next, locate the oil drain plug, which is usually on the bottom of the oil pan. Place an oil pan beneath the drain plug and remove it to drain the old oil. Once all the oil has drained out, replace the drain plug and add new oil.

I highly recommend following the manufacturer's instructions when changing the oil on your Kia Ceed. If you are unsure or uncomfortable with changing the oil yourself, it is best to take it to a qualified mechanic. They will have the knowledge and tools to properly change the oil and dispose of the old oil in an environmentally friendly way.

As a mechanic with years of experience working on Kia Ceed vehicles, my advice is to always use high-quality oil and oil filters when changing the oil. This will help prolong the life of your engine and ensure it runs smoothly. And don't forget to check your owner's manual for the recommended oil change interval, as it may vary depending on your driving habits and conditions.
