How do I change the oil on my Kia Stonic?

I recently purchased a Kia Stonic and I want to perform the oil change myself. Can someone walk me through the steps?

Changing the oil on your Kia Stonic isn't as difficult as it may seem. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you out:

E

First, make sure you have the correct type and amount of oil for your Stonic. Refer to your owner's manual for this information.

M

Next, locate the oil drain plug underneath your car near the front of the engine. Place a drain pan underneath and remove the plug.

S

Allow the old oil to drain completely before replacing the drain plug and tightening it securely.

J

Now, locate the oil filter and replace it with a new one. Be sure to apply a thin layer of oil to the rubber gasket before installing the new filter.

K

Finally, add the correct amount of new oil to your Stonic's engine using a funnel. Check the oil level with the dipstick and adjust as needed.
