I recently purchased a used Kia Picanto and noticed that the tire size is smaller than what I previously had on my old car. How do I go about changing the tire size on my Kia Picanto to something more suitable for my driving needs?
ReplyHi Sarah, changing the tire size on your Kia Picanto is actually quite simple. First, you'll need to determine the correct tire size for your car. This information can usually be found in your car's manual or on a sticker located on the inside of your driver's side door. Next, you'll need to purchase new tires in the appropriate size.
Once you have your new tires, you'll need to remove the old tires from your car. Start by loosening the lug nuts with a lug wrench. Remember to loosen them in a star pattern, rather than going around in a circle. Once the lug nuts are loose, jack up your car and remove the lug nuts and old tires. Be careful not to lose any of the lug nuts or wheel caps.
Now it's time to install the new tires. Simply place the new tires onto the wheel studs and hand tighten the lug nuts. Then use the lug wrench to tighten the nuts in a star pattern until they are secure. Finally, lower your car and remove the jack. You may need to adjust the tire pressure after installing the new tires to ensure they are properly inflated.
