How do I check the oil level in my Kia Sorento?

I've noticed that my Kia Sorento has been running a bit rough lately, and I think it might be low on oil. How can I check the oil level and add more if needed?

First, park your Kia Sorento on a level surface and allow the engine to cool down for at least 10 minutes. Then, locate the oil dipstick, which is usually yellow or orange in color. Pull it out and wipe it clean with a cloth. Reinsert the dipstick all the way in and then pull it out again to check the oil level. If the oil level is near or below the minimum mark, add more oil.

Before adding more oil, make sure you have the correct type for your Kia Sorento. You can find this information in your owner's manual or by checking with a dealership. Pour the oil slowly and use the dipstick to check the level frequently. It's always better to have slightly less than the maximum rather than overfilling it.

Don't forget to also check the color and consistency of the oil. If it is dark, thick, or has a burnt smell, it may be time for an oil change. It's also a good idea to regularly check your oil level to avoid any potential engine issues.
