I can't seem to figure out how to reset the service light on my Kia Ceed. Can anyone help me with this technical issue? It's really bothering me.
ReplyHi Rachel, resetting the service light on a Kia Ceed is actually quite simple. First, turn off the engine and press the 'Info' button on the steering wheel. Then, press and hold the 'Select' button until the display shows 'Service Menu'. Use the arrows on the steering wheel to navigate to 'Service Schedule' and press 'Select'. From there, choose the appropriate service and press 'Select' again to confirm. This should reset the service light for you. Let me know if it works!
Hey Rachel, I had the same issue with my Kia Ceed. If the above method doesn't work, try this: turn off the engine and press and hold the 'Reset' button on the dashboard. While holding the button, turn the key to the 'On' position (not start). Continue holding the 'Reset' button until the service light flashes and then goes off. This should reset the service light for you. Give it a try and let me know if it works.
Hi Rachel, I have a simple trick for you. Turn off the engine and press and hold the trip meter button. While holding it, turn the key to the 'On' position. Keep holding the button until the display changes to 'Service Menu'. From there, press and release the trip meter button until the display shows '12500'. Press and hold the button again until it beeps and the service light will be reset. Hope this helps!
