How do I reset the tire pressure monitoring system in my Kia Stonic?

I just noticed that my tire pressure indicator light is on in my Kia Stonic. What steps do I need to take to reset the tire pressure monitoring system and get rid of the warning light?

First, check your tires with a pressure gauge to ensure they are at the recommended level. Then, look for a button or menu option in your car's settings or instrument panel that says 'TPMS reset' or 'tire pressure reset'. Press the button or select the option and wait for the indicator light to turn off. If the light does not turn off, consult your owner's manual for specific instructions.

To reset the tire pressure monitoring system, you may need to drive your Kia Stonic above 30mph for at least 10 minutes. This will allow the system to recalibrate and reset itself. If the light continues to stay on, there may be an issue with the sensor and it is recommended to bring your vehicle to a certified mechanic for further diagnosis.

If you recently had your tires replaced or rotated, it is possible that the tire pressure monitoring system was not reset. In this case, you can reset it manually by pressing and holding the TPMS reset button on your dashboard for a few seconds. If you are unsure of the location of this button, refer to your owner's manual for assistance.
