How do I reset the tire pressure monitoring system on my Kia Stonic?

I recently had my tires changed and I noticed that the tire pressure warning light is still on even though I've checked and adjusted the tire pressure. How do I reset the TPMS on my Kia Stonic?

Hi Samantha, to reset the TPMS on your Kia Stonic, start by turning on the ignition without starting the engine. Then press and hold the 'Reset' button located near the steering wheel for around three seconds until the TPMS warning light blinks two times. After this, turn off the ignition and turn it back on to see if the warning light has turned off.

Samantha, you can also try this method. First, park your Kia Stonic in a safe area and turn off the ignition. Then press and hold the 'Reset' button for around three seconds until the TPMS warning light turns on. After this, release the button and turn on the ignition again. If the warning light turns off, the TPMS has been reset successfully. If it doesn't, repeat the process or have your TPMS checked by a professional mechanic.

Hey Samantha, I had a similar issue with my Kia Stonic and I solved it by disconnecting the negative terminal of the battery for around 10 minutes. This resets all the systems and sensors in your car, including the TPMS. Just make sure to have your radio code handy as it may reset as well.
