I recently purchased a Kia Soul and I noticed it has a lane keeping assist feature. How do I activate it? Is it always on or do I need to turn it on manually?
ReplyTo turn on the lane keeping assist feature on your Kia Soul, press the button located on the left side of your steering wheel. It will display a symbol on your dashboard indicating that the feature is active. Keep in mind that the feature only works above a certain speed and can be turned off by pressing the button again.
If you're having trouble finding the button, refer to your owner's manual for the exact location. Also, keep in mind that the lane keeping assist feature is not a substitute for safe driving and may not detect all lane markings. It's important to always stay alert and in control of your vehicle.
I have found that it's better to activate the lane keeping assist feature before entering a highway or long stretch of road. It can be helpful in preventing unintentional lane drift, but it's not meant to be used as a cruise control feature. Remember to always keep your hands on the steering wheel and actively steer your Kia Soul.
