The Kia EV6 charges through both alternating current (AC) charging and direct current (DC) charging. AC charging can be performed through a regular domestic socket or a dedicated EV charging station. DC charging, on the other hand, requires a specific DC charging station.

When charging at home through a regular socket, the Kia EV6's Battery Management System (BMS) regulates the charging current according to the state of charge. This ensures the battery's longevity and safety. On the other hand, DC fast charging can charge the battery from 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes.

To protect the battery, the Kia EV6 is equipped with a liquid-cooled thermal management system. This helps to regulate the battery's temperature during fast charging and ensures optimal performance and longevity of the battery. Make sure to keep the battery at a comfortable temperature to prolong battery life.
