How does the 'Lane Follow Assist' feature work in the Kia ProCeed?

I recently purchased a Kia ProCeed and am trying to understand how the Lane Follow Assist feature works. Can someone please explain the technology behind it?

The Lane Follow Assist feature uses a camera and sensors to monitor lane markings and the distance to the car in front of you. It helps to keep you centered in your lane and will even make adjustments to your steering if you start to drift.
