How often should I change my oil in my Kia Rio?

I just bought a Kia Rio and I'm not sure how often I should be changing my oil. I want to make sure I'm taking care of my car properly. Can anyone offer advice?

According to Kia's official recommendations, oil should be changed every 7,500 miles for newer models. However, it's always a good idea to check your car's manual for specific instructions.

I've been changing my oil every 5,000 miles and it has kept my Kia Rio running smoothly for years. It's a bit more frequent than the official recommendation, but I prefer to err on the side of caution.

You can also keep an eye on your oil level and quality. If it looks dirty or low, it's probably time for a change.
