How often should the tires on a Kia Rio be replaced?

I recently purchased a Kia Rio and I'm wondering how often I should replace the tires. I mostly use it for highway driving and my current tires have been on for about 3 years. Should I replace them now or can I wait a bit longer?

It is recommended to replace your tires every 6 years, regardless of the mileage. However, if you drive on highways frequently, it is best to check your tires every 3 years. If the tread is worn down to 1.6mm, it's time to replace them.

It's always better to err on the side of caution when it comes to tire replacement. If you're unsure about the condition of your tires, have a professional inspect them. It's better to replace them a little early than to risk driving on unsafe tires.

In general, it's best to replace your tires before they reach the 6 year mark, even if the tread is still good. Rubber can deteriorate over time, especially if the car is not used frequently. It's also important to check the tire pressure regularly to ensure even wear.
