How to change the oil in my Kia Sportage?

I've just hit the 5,000 mile mark on my Kia Sportage and I know it's time to change the oil. I've never done it myself before, could someone give me some guidance on how to do it properly?

Changing the oil in your Kia Sportage is a relatively simple task that you can do yourself. First, gather the necessary supplies including oil, an oil filter, a drain pan, a funnel, and a wrench. Then, locate the oil filter and drain plug under the car. Place the drain pan underneath the drain plug and use the wrench to loosen it. Let the old oil drain out completely and remove the old filter. Next, install the new filter and tighten the drain plug. Finally, use the funnel to add the new oil to the recommended level. Make sure to dispose of the old oil properly. If you're not comfortable doing it yourself, you can always bring it to a professional for an oil change.
