I can't seem to be able to connect my phone to the Kia Stonic's infotainment system. I've tried following the steps in the manual but it keeps giving me an error message. Any advice on what I might be doing wrong?
ReplyFirst, make sure your phone's Bluetooth is turned on and set to discoverable mode. Then, try restarting the infotainment system and try again. If that doesn't work, double check that you are following the correct steps in the manual. Also, make sure your phone is compatible with the Kia Stonic's infotainment system.
I had the same issue when I first got my Kia Stonic. What worked for me was deleting the pairing information for the device on both my phone and the car's infotainment system, and then repairing them again. Just make sure to follow the pairing steps correctly and you should be good to go.
Are you using an Android or iOS device? If it's an Android, try disabling your phone's battery optimization for the app that connects to the infotainment system. Sometimes that can cause connection issues. If it's an iPhone, make sure to accept the pairing request on your phone when it pops up.
