How to fix a leaking sunroof in a Kia Sportage?

I have noticed that my Kia Sportage's sunroof is leaking and causing water damage inside my car. It only seems to happen during heavy rain, but it's becoming a nuisance. How can I fix this issue?

First, check the rubber seal around the sunroof for any cracks or damage. These can easily become worn over time and may need to be replaced. If the seal looks fine, the drain tubes may be clogged with debris. Use compressed air or a plumbing snake to clear them out. If this doesn't solve the issue, it's best to have a professional inspect the sunroof for any damage or misalignment.

I had a similar issue and found that the drainage holes around the sunroof were clogged with leaves and debris. I carefully cleaned them out with a small wire and now my sunroof no longer leaks. Make sure to check these holes regularly to prevent future issues.

I had this issue with my Kia Sportage and found that the sunroof track was misaligned. This caused the seal to not close properly, letting water in. I had to have the track realigned by a professional, but it solved the leak issue.
