How to properly check the tire pressure in a Kia Stonic?

I recently bought a Kia Stonic and I want to make sure I am properly checking the tire pressure. Can you provide some guidance on how to do so?

The first step is to make sure you have a good quality tire pressure gauge. Then, remove the cap from the tire valve and press the gauge against it. The gauge will give you a reading, which you can then compare to the recommended pressure listed in your car's manual. If the reading is too low, use an air compressor to add air until it reaches the recommended pressure. If it is too high, use a gauge to let some air out. Make sure to check the tire pressure at least once a month and before long trips.

When checking the tire pressure, make sure to do so when the tires are cold. If you check them after driving, the temperature and pressure of the tires will be elevated and give you an inaccurate reading. Also, don't forget to check the spare tire as well. It is often overlooked but important to have in good condition in case of an emergency.

In addition to checking the tire pressure regularly, also pay attention to the tire tread depth. The minimum tread depth is 2/32 inches. You can simply use a penny to check if your tires are still safe to use. Place the penny in the tread grooves with Lincoln's head facing down. If you can see the top of his head, it is time to replace your tires.
