How to troubleshoot a faulty air conditioning system in a Kia Sorento?

My Kia Sorento's air conditioning system seems to have stopped functioning. The air blows out warm instead of cold. I have checked the fuses and they all seem to be fine. What else could be the issue and how can I fix it?

First, check the condenser fan to see if it is working properly. If it is not, you may need to replace it. Another common issue is a refrigerant leak, which can be identified by the presence of oil around the hoses and fittings. In this case, you will need to refill the refrigerant. Other potential causes could be a faulty compressor or a clogged expansion valve. It is best to take your car to a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis and repair.

Make sure the cabin air filter is clean and replace it if necessary. A dirty cabin air filter can restrict air flow and cause the air conditioning to not work properly. You can also try resetting the AC system by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes. If none of these solutions work, it may be a more complex issue that requires professional assistance.

Check the AC control module to see if it is functioning properly. This is responsible for controlling the temperature, fan speed, and air direction in your Sorento. If it is malfunctioning, it can cause issues with your AC. Additionally, make sure the AC belt is not loose or slipping. If it is, tighten it or replace it if necessary.
