Is it normal for my Kia Sportage to make a clicking noise when turning?

I recently purchased a Kia Sportage and I've noticed that it makes a clicking noise when I turn the steering wheel. Is this a normal sound or should I be concerned? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

It is not normal for your Kia Sportage to make a clicking noise when turning. This could be indicative of a problem with the steering system or the CV joints. I recommend bringing your car to a mechanic for a thorough inspection.

I experienced a similar issue with my Kia Sportage and it turned out to be a loose bolt in the steering column. I suggest checking all the bolts in the steering system to see if any need to be tightened.

I've had my Kia Sportage for a few years now and I've noticed that the clicking noise occurs when the steering wheel is turned all the way to one side or the other. This is due to the steering column rubbing against the plastic cover. It's not a cause for concern, but you can try lubricating the steering column to lessen the noise.
