Should I opt for the Kia Picanto's CVT transmission?

I am considering purchasing a Kia Picanto and I am wondering if the CVT transmission is the best option for me. I have heard mixed reviews about its performance and I am not sure if it is worth the extra cost. Can anyone help me make a decision?
