I recently purchased a used Kia ProCeed and I've noticed a rattling noise coming from the engine. The noise only occurs when the car is idling, but it goes away once I start driving. What could be causing this and should I be concerned?
ReplyThe most common cause of a rattling noise in the engine is a loose or worn out serpentine belt. Check the belt for any signs of wear or looseness and have it replaced if needed.
It's also possible that the noise is coming from a faulty tensioner or pulley. Have a mechanic inspect these components and replace them if necessary.
