I've noticed that my Kia Sorento has a differential lock switch near the gear shifter. I'm not quite sure what it does and when I should use it. Can someone please explain?
ReplyThe differential lock is a feature that allows both wheels on the same axle to spin at the same speed, regardless of traction. This is useful in situations where one wheel is stuck or has no traction, allowing the other wheel to still provide power to move the vehicle.
You should only engage the differential lock when you are in a low-traction situation, such as off-roading or driving on slippery surfaces. It's not necessary for daily driving and can actually cause damage to your vehicle if used incorrectly.
