What does the 'Drive Mode Select' feature do in my Kia Niro?

I noticed my Kia Niro has a 'Drive Mode Select' feature, but I'm not sure what it does. Can you provide an explanation and some tips on when to use each mode?

The 'Drive Mode Select' feature allows you to choose between different driving modes that adjust the car's performance and efficiency. The three modes are Eco, Sport, and Normal.

Eco mode prioritizes fuel efficiency by adjusting the throttle response and air conditioning usage. Sport mode enhances the car's performance by providing a more responsive throttle and increased steering feel. And Normal mode balances both efficiency and performance.

You can switch between modes by pressing the 'Drive Mode Select' button on the center console. My personal advice is to use Eco mode for daily driving and switch to Sport mode when you need a little extra power, such as merging onto a highway.
