I recently purchased a Kia ProCeed and noticed a button labeled 'ESC'. What exactly does this button do and in what situations should I use it?
ReplyESC stands for electronic stability control and it is a safety feature in your Kia ProCeed. When activated, it uses sensors to monitor your vehicle's speed, steering, and wheel rotation. If it detects a loss of steering control or potential skidding, it will automatically apply brakes to individual wheels and adjust engine power to help keep the car stable.
You should use the ESC button in situations where you may lose control of your vehicle, such as when driving on slippery or uneven roads, making sharp turns, or sudden braking.
In my experience with the Kia ProCeed, I have found that keeping the ESC system on at all times while driving can greatly improve vehicle stability and reduce the risk of accidents. I would highly recommend leaving it on unless you are in a situation where you need to turn it off, such as when driving on deep snow or sand where slight skidding may be necessary to maintain momentum.
