What is the best type of oil for my Kia Niro?

I recently purchased a new Kia Niro and I'm wondering what type of oil is best to use for optimal performance and longevity. Any recommendations?

As a Kia technician, I would recommend using a synthetic oil with a viscosity of 5W-20. This will provide the best protection for your engine and can potentially improve fuel efficiency.

Based on my personal experience, I've found that using a synthetic blend oil with a higher viscosity (ex: 10W-30) works well for my Kia Niro. It's important to check your owner's manual for the manufacturer's recommended oil type and frequency of oil changes.

I've been using conventional oil in my Kia Niro for the past couple of years and haven't had any issues. It's a more affordable option, but keep in mind you may need to change it more frequently.
