The most common cause of a rattling sound in a Kia Sorento is a loose heat shield. You can fix this by tightening the heat shield bolts or using muffler tape to secure it in place.

Another possible cause could be a worn out exhaust mount. Check the mounts and replace them if they are damaged.

If the rattling sound seems to be coming from the engine, it could be a sign of a faulty timing belt or a loose belt tensioner. Get your car checked by a mechanic for proper diagnosis and repair.

I had the same issue with my Kia Sorento, and it turned out to be a loose exhaust pipe. Get under your car and check for any loose or missing bolts on the exhaust pipe. Tighten or replace as needed.

Have you recently changed your oil? If so, you may have used the wrong type of oil or not tightened the oil filter properly. This can cause a rattling sound when the engine is running. Check your oil and filter and make sure everything is in place correctly.
