What is the purpose of Kia Sportage's Drive Mode Select?

I recently purchased a Kia Sportage and noticed a button labeled 'Drive Mode Select'. What does this button do and should I be using it?

The Drive Mode Select is a feature that allows you to choose between different driving modes, such as Eco, Normal, Sport, and Smart. Each mode adjusts the car's performance to enhance your driving experience. For daily driving, I recommend using the Smart mode to optimize fuel efficiency and performance.

I would advise against regularly using the Sport mode, as it can decrease fuel efficiency and put unnecessary strain on the engine. Stick to Eco or Normal mode for everyday driving.

If you're planning on off-roading or towing, engaging the 4WD Lock mode will provide added traction and stability. Just remember to switch back to 2WD mode afterwards for regular driving.
