I recently purchased the Kia Sorento and plan on taking it off-roading. What tire pressure should I set for optimal performance on muddy and rocky terrain?
ReplyFor special terrain like mud and rocks, it is recommended to decrease your tire pressure by 5-10 psi. This provides better grip and a smoother ride. However, make sure to increase the pressure back to the recommended level when driving on regular roads.
As a seasoned off-roader, I suggest using a pressure gauge to adjust your tire pressure between 20-25 psi. This will give you better traction and prevent punctures. Just remember to refill the tires to the recommended pressure for regular driving afterwards.
