I have a 2019 Kia Niro and recently the engine has been making a strange noise when I start it up. It sounds like a grinding or clicking noise. What could be causing this and is there anything I can do to fix it?
ReplyFirst, check your oil levels to make sure it's not a lubrication issue. If the levels are fine, it's possible that the noise is coming from a loose belt or a worn pulley. You can try tightening or replacing these yourself, but it's best to take it to a mechanic for a proper diagnosis and repair.
Another possible cause of the noise could be a problem with the timing belt. If this is the case, I highly recommend taking it to a professional as attempting to fix this without the right tools and knowledge can cause serious damage to your engine.
