Why does my Kia Picanto's engine make a ticking sound?

I have noticed that my Kia Picanto's engine has started making a regular ticking sound. It seems to be coming from the front of the engine and occurs most frequently when the car is idling. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

It is likely that a valve lifter or rocker arm is loose or worn out. This can be fixed by adjusting or replacing the affected part.

The ticking sound could also be due to low oil levels or dirty oil. Make sure to regularly check and change your oil to prevent engine damage.

If the ticking sound is accompanied by a loss of power or unusual vibrations, it could be a sign of a more serious engine problem. It is best to take your car to a mechanic for a thorough inspection.
