Why does my Kia Sorento engine sound different after adding a performance air intake?

I recently installed a performance air intake on my Kia Sorento and now the engine sounds louder and more aggressive. Is this normal and should I be concerned?

Hey Michelle, don't worry, it's completely normal for your engine to sound different after installing a performance air intake. The increased air flow can make the engine sound louder and more aggressive. You don't need to be concerned as long as the performance of your vehicle remains consistent.

Hi Michelle, I had a similar experience with my Kia Sorento after adding a performance air intake. The sound will most likely mellow out after a few weeks of driving. If not, it could be an indication of a larger issue. Keep an ear out for any unusual noises or changes in performance.

Hi there, I have a Kia Sorento with a performance air intake and it also sounds more aggressive. I wouldn't be too concerned as long as there are no other symptoms. But if you're still worried, you can always have a mechanic take a look.
