Why does my Kia Sorento's engine keep overheating?

I recently noticed that my Kia Sorento's engine has been overheating frequently. It has never happened before, so I'm not sure what the issue could be. Could it be due to a malfunctioning thermostat or something more serious?

It's highly likely that the thermostat is not functioning properly. It's a common issue in Kia Sorento models, particularly those made before 2010. It's best to take your car to a mechanic and have them check the thermostat and possibly replace it.

Another possible cause of overheating could be a leaking radiator. Check for any visible leaks or puddles of coolant underneath your car. If you find any, it's best to get the radiator replaced as soon as possible to avoid any further damage to the engine.

Make sure you are regularly checking and topping up your coolant levels. Low coolant levels can also cause overheating. If your coolant levels are fine, then the issue may be with the water pump. Have a mechanic inspect the water pump and replace if necessary.
