Why does my Kia Sportage have trouble starting after filling up with gas?

Sometimes when I fill up my Kia Sportage with gas, it has trouble starting afterwards. It seems to struggle and takes longer than normal to turn over. What could be causing this issue and how can I fix it?

This issue could be caused by several factors, such as a faulty fuel pump, damaged fuel injectors, or a clogged fuel filter. We recommend taking your Kia Sportage to a certified mechanic to diagnose the issue and make any necessary repairs.

Another possible cause could be a problem with the fuel vapor canister, which helps reduce emissions. If this is the case, it may need to be replaced. We suggest scheduling an appointment with your local Kia dealership for a thorough inspection.

Are you using the recommended fuel type for your Kia Sportage? Using a lower octane fuel can cause issues with starting and overall performance. Try switching to a higher octane level and see if that improves the starting issue.
