I have a 2017 Kia Sportage and recently it has started stalling at stop signs. It only happens occasionally, but it's still concerning. What could be causing this issue?
ReplyOne possible cause could be a dirty or malfunctioning throttle body. I would recommend getting that checked and cleaned.
Another possibility is a faulty idle air control valve. This can cause the engine to stall when idle. It's important to get it checked and replaced if necessary.
Check your fuel filter as well. If it's clogged or dirty, it could be restricting the flow of fuel to the engine, causing it to stall.
I had a similar issue with my Sportage and it turned out to be a faulty mass airflow sensor. Get that checked and replaced if needed.
