Why does my Kia Sportage make a clicking noise when I turn the steering wheel?

I've noticed that my Kia Sportage makes a clicking noise when I turn the steering wheel, especially at low speeds. It seems to be coming from the front of the car. What could be causing this and is it something I should be concerned about?

This clicking noise could be caused by a number of things, but it is usually a sign of a worn CV joint or damaged tie rod. It's important to get this checked out by a mechanic as soon as possible, as driving with a damaged steering component can be dangerous.

I had a similar issue with my Kia Sportage and it turned out to be a loose heat shield. You may want to have someone check under your car for loose or damaged parts.

I've experienced this problem before and it was due to low power steering fluid. Make sure to check your fluids regularly and top up if necessary.
