Why does my Kia Sportage's engine shake when idling?

I've noticed that my Kia Sportage's engine starts shaking when I come to a stop at a red light or stop sign. It seems to smooth out once I start driving again. What could be causing this issue?

Hi Sara, it sounds like your engine may be experiencing misfires while idling. This could be due to several reasons such as a faulty spark plug, dirty fuel injectors, or even a clogged air filter. It's best to take your car to a mechanic to get it checked out.

Hey Sara, I had a similar issue with my Kia Sportage. It turned out to be a problem with the fuel pump. I would recommend taking your car to a trusted mechanic for a diagnostic test.

Hi Sara, another possible cause for your engine shaking could be a problem with the engine mounts. If they are worn out or damaged, they can cause the engine to vibrate excessively. I would suggest getting them checked by a mechanic.
