Why does my Kia Sportage shake when I brake?

I recently noticed that my Kia Sportage shakes when I brake. It's not a violent shake, but noticeable enough to be concerning. I had my brakes replaced about a year ago, so I'm not sure what could be causing this. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

One potential cause of shaking while braking could be uneven brake pad wear. I recommend taking your car to a mechanic to have them inspect the brakes and replace any worn pads if needed.

Your Kia Sportage could also be experiencing shaking due to warped brake rotors. If this is the case, it's important to have them replaced as soon as possible to ensure safe braking.

Another possibility is that your wheels are unbalanced, which can cause shaking while braking. Visit a tire shop or mechanic to have your wheels balanced to see if that resolves the issue.

If none of these solutions fix the shaking, it could be a sign of a more serious issue with the suspension or steering components. I recommend taking your car to a trusted mechanic for a thorough inspection.
