There could be a few different reasons for the engine light to come on in your Kia Ceed. One possibility is a loose gas cap, which can easily be fixed by tightening it. Another possibility is a faulty oxygen sensor, which will need to be replaced by a mechanic.

It would be best to take your Kia Ceed to a certified mechanic to diagnose the issue with the engine light. They will be able to run a diagnostic test and pinpoint the exact cause.

If you recently had any maintenance or repairs done on your Kia Ceed, it's possible that something was not properly installed or reset, causing the engine light to come on. Double check with the mechanic who worked on your car.
