Why is my Kia Ceed's steering wheel hard to turn?

My Kia Ceed's steering wheel has recently become difficult to turn. It feels stiff and I have to use a lot of force to turn it. I've checked the power steering fluid and it seems to be at the right level. Why is this happening and how can I fix it?

It's possible that your power steering pump is failing. This could be due to a leak in the system or a clogged filter. I would recommend bringing your car to a mechanic to diagnose and fix the issue.

Another possible cause could be a problem with the power steering belt. Check if it's loose or worn out, and replace it if necessary. If the belt is fine, it could be an issue with the power steering rack and pinion. In that case, it's best to take your car to a Kia dealership for repairs.

It's also possible that air has entered the power steering system, causing the stiffness in your steering wheel. Try bleeding the system to release any trapped air. If that doesn't work, take it to a mechanic for further inspection.
