Why is my Kia Niro losing power while driving?

I recently purchased a Kia Niro and have noticed that while driving on the highway, it seems to lose power and struggle to maintain speed. This has happened a few times now and I'm not sure what could be causing it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

It's possible that your Kia Niro is experiencing a loss of power due to a clogged air filter. When was the last time you had it replaced? A dirty air filter can restrict air flow and negatively affect engine performance. Try replacing the air filter and see if that helps.

Another possibility could be issues with the fuel system. Have you noticed any strange noises or hesitation when accelerating? It could be a sign of a clogged fuel filter or a problem with the fuel pump. It's best to have a professional mechanic take a look and diagnose the issue.

If you've recently filled up your tank, it's possible that you accidentally put in the wrong type of fuel. Make sure you're using the recommended fuel type for your Kia Niro. Using the wrong fuel can cause engine issues and loss of power.

I experienced a similar issue with my Kia Niro and it turned out to be a faulty spark plug. Have you had them checked or replaced recently? Worn out spark plugs can cause misfiring and result in a loss of power. It's a relatively inexpensive and easy fix.
