Why is my Kia Niro making a whirring noise?

I recently purchased a 2021 Kia Niro and have noticed a whirring noise coming from the engine. It doesn't seem to affect the performance of the car, but I'm worried it could be a sign of a larger issue. What could be causing this noise and should I be concerned?

It's likely that the whirring noise is coming from the hybrid system in your Kia Niro. This is normal in hybrid vehicles and is nothing to worry about. However, if the noise becomes unusually loud or changes in tone, it may be a sign of a malfunction and you should bring your car to a Kia dealership for inspection.

Another possible cause of the whirring noise could be a loose belt in the engine. This can easily be fixed by tightening or replacing the belt. If the noise persists after the belt has been addressed, it could be a sign of a more serious issue and you should have your car checked by a mechanic.

If the whirring noise only occurs when you are accelerating, it could be due to a faulty bearing in the transmission. This issue should be addressed as soon as possible, as it can lead to more severe damage if left untreated.
