Why is my Kia Niro's brake pedal feeling spongy?

Sometimes when I push down on my brake pedal, it feels spongy and less responsive. Other times, it feels completely fine. What could be causing this issue and how can I fix it?

It sounds like there could be air trapped in your brake lines, causing the inconsistency in the pedal feel. I would recommend bleeding the brake system, starting at the calipers and working your way up to the master cylinder.

It's possible that your brake pads are worn out, causing a delay in response when you press the pedal. I would suggest getting new brake pads installed and check for any potential damage to the rotors.

Check your brake fluid levels, as it could be low and causing the spongy feeling in the pedal. If it is low, top it off with the recommended brake fluid for your Kia Niro.
