I recently noticed that my Kia Picanto's engine has started making a whirring noise. It only happens when the car is idling, but it's quite loud and I'm worried there may be a bigger issue. Has anyone else experienced this with their Picanto? Should I take it to a mechanic for a check-up or is there a simple solution?
ReplyHi Lisa, the whirring noise could be caused by a loose belt or a failing bearing in one of the engine components. I would recommend taking your car to a trusted mechanic to have it checked out. It's always better to be safe than sorry when it comes to your car's engine.
I had a similar issue with my Picanto and it turned out to be a loose alternator belt. It was an easy fix and didn't cost much. I would definitely recommend taking it to a mechanic to have it checked out.
