Why is my Kia Rio Engine Making a Whirring Noise?

I have a Kia Rio and recently, the engine has been making a whirring noise when I start the car. It continues for a little while and then stops. What could be causing this issue?

This could be caused by a worn out serpentine belt or tensioner. I would recommend getting it checked and replaced if needed.

It could also be an issue with the alternator or a pulley. I suggest taking it to a mechanic for a thorough inspection.

If you recently had the oil changed, it could also be due to the wrong viscosity of oil being used. Make sure to use the recommended oil for your Kia Rio.
