Why is my Kia Rio making a clicking noise when I accelerate?

I recently bought a used Kia Rio and have noticed that every time I accelerate, there is a clicking noise coming from the engine. It seems to be more noticeable when the car is cold. What could be causing this and should I be concerned?

It is possible that the clicking noise is coming from a loose or worn out drive belt. You should have a mechanic inspect the belt and replace it if necessary.

S

The clicking noise could also be caused by a faulty CV joint. This is a more serious issue and should be addressed immediately to avoid further damage.

B

In some cases, the clicking noise could be caused by low oil levels. Check your oil and top it off if needed. If the problem persists, it could be a sign of an oil leak.
