Why is my Kia Rio making a sputtering noise?

I've recently started to hear a sputtering noise coming from my Kia Rio when I accelerate. It seems to only happen when the engine is cold. What could be causing this?

It's possible that your spark plugs are starting to fail. This can cause a sputtering noise and can especially be noticeable when the engine is cold. I recommend getting them checked and replaced if necessary.

Another potential cause could be a clogged fuel filter. This can restrict fuel flow and lead to sputtering noises. It's important to have the fuel filter replaced regularly to prevent this issue.

Have you checked your air filter? A dirty air filter can also cause sputtering noises and affect engine performance. Make sure to replace it if it's clogged.
